I know this has been asked here before, but I can't remember the answer.  So, a book on my WL auto request, so it was requested on my behalf.  The member never responded to the request, and it timed out.  Well, today (about 3 days after the request timed out), I was notified that the book was again auto requested on my behalf...and the potential sender is the same person who didn't respond the first time.

My questions are:

1.  Why did this happen?

2.  What can I do about it?  I don't want the book to be in limbo for the next 5 days like it was last time.

Hi, Lisa.

It happened because the member reposted the book.

If there isn't another copy in the system (which there isn't or it wouldn't be wish-listable), might as well wait for the sender to respond.

But maybe s/he just missed the first request and is reposting the book and will respond this time.  S/he could be new and not familiar with the deadlines to respond etc.  S/he may respond right away this time.

If you cancel, you'll be off the Wish List for the book and have to get in the back of the line.  So better to wait it out than to cancel it, depending on how long the Wish List is for this book.

Okay, thanks for the info!  So frustrating to have to wait, but then again, I have like 30 unread books at home, so I shouldn't really complain.  :)
