  Book Time
Oh, to step away from my day. No problems to solve. No meals to cook. My responsibilities all gone. My husband looses his voice, the job no longer requires my skills. Family is self reliant. I've magically done my exercises, paid my bills, done the laundry, and made all my deals.
Now I open the pages and become someone else. I'm newly in love, or on the run or jumping into the fire using magic or a gun. How I live for this part of my day. It's a rebirth, and it refuels and allows me to handle the chores that life throws at me at an alarming rate. Without reading I'd die a slow death and or break down and crumble instead of loving this challenging race we're all fed.
I get to travel to different times and space and go anywhere and be any place. My fantasy life has wonderful titillating thrills and I learn about people and places and deals. Then I'm rested, and sated and ready to go back as a happy well traveled, and yes, well read lass. Now I'm back to my old self and the humor, comfort and delight is back and I'm ready to be the heroine in my own story as I live my life and deal with all that.
Thanks to all the authors who take me away, give me a break, a fantasy and a short vacation stay. I've traveled the World, lost and loved. Been to far galaxies and fed on mans' blood. I've read about History and looked to our future. Books are the drug I choose over all. I'd take a book over any trip to the Mall.
