Thought I might start this to avoid some confusion with other threads...hope that's ok.

I have a copy of Eleanor Herman's Sex With Queens  I'd be happy to post to someone's wishlist.  Note...I probably can't mail this til Friday.

I have an extra copy of Nigel Tranter's Bruce Trilogy if anyone wants it.  I got one copy off BM, and had it sent from the UK, only to bid on and win the same one on ebay.  Ooops!!!

Melissa,

I would dearly love your Bruce trilogy! I have had it on my wish list since I joined and I am number 4, but they seem to never show up. I had all three separately years ago, but would love to have them in the one book. I'll admit, I am obsessed with Robert the Bruce and have been for years, so you won't find a better home for your book :-) Thanks!

Karen,

I added The Dress Lodger to my wishlist.  Could you post the book to me?

Thanks, Marge

I just found an extra copy of Plaidy's The Queen's Husband.  It was previously owned by a light smoker.  If you'd like me to post it to you just pm me.  :)

Poop, I didn't see this excellent new thread and posted in another about this -- so I'll repost here too.

I am about to finish The Kitchen Boy today, and if it's on your WL please let me know. What a great book. Thanks to all in the forum who suggested it.

PS: My Dad is out of hospital and doing well. They have him on new meds and hopefully there will be no more bleeding. Thanks to all for your concern and understanding as I've been a little flaked out lately ... Well, more than usual.

Edited to add: BOOK CLAIMED!

I guess I don't understand the purpose of this thread...if you have a WL book, don't you just post it to the system so whoever's been waiting the longest for it gets it?? ::scratches head::

I know what you mean Cheryl...I always feel just a bit guilty when I post a book to a buddy's wishlist instead of to the first person in line. But, since it isn't against the rules to do it, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I mainly just do it with books that I know someone here in the HF forum really, really wants. Sometimes, I'll post several books to one person's wishlist so that I can save a bit on postage. Plus, I know that when I post a book to someone here, they are going to accept it quickly and I can go on and get it to the post office instead of getting hung up in the wishlist line, going through multiple members as they cancel. I also enjoy giving much wanted books to people who have kindly given me much wanted books!

Here is my LONG list of Jean Plaidy books (they are all PB) that I have duplicates of (my MIL that lives in England sends them over to me whenever she finds one ... it makes her feel good) and that I am getting ready to list on PBS, but I thought I'd see if anyone here would like them first:

In the Shadow of the Crown

The Princess of Celle

The Queen's Husband

The Lion of Justice

The Shadow of the Pomegranate

Hammer of the Scots

The Murder in the Tower

The Reluctant Queen

Madame Serpent

Goddess of the Green Room

Battle of the Queens

The Captive of Kensington Palace

The Queen From Provence

The Queen's Favourites

Here Lies Our Sovereign Lord

The Queen and Lord M

The Sixth Wife

Madonna of the Seven Hills

The Prince and the Quakeress

A Health Unto His Majesty

The Plantagenet Prelude

The Vow On The Heron

The Wandering Prince

Mary, Queen of France

The Lady in the Tower

Victoria Victorious

It Began In Vauxhall Gardens (HB Large Print Ex-Library)

I also have a copy of The Queen's Man by Sharon Kay Penman

I'm not in any hurry to get rid of them Beverly (they've been in a box in my garage for forever!  If it wasn't for me having met Jennifer in the WL Swap I was hosting, they'd still be there!!) ... which ones are you looking at and I can hold them back for you and then when you get an extra credit ... just let me know which one you want from your "stash" ... LOL

Jamie :)

Should point out, too, that Jamie has a copy of "Hammer of The Scots" which can be a very hard book to come by (I have mine!)

If you don't have this book, you should snap it up!
