Hi out there! I was wondering if any of you could give me some recommendations for books that read like an episode of the Waltons. I have been so disappointed lately in some of the books I have read. I hear all the time from others: "That show is not realistic; no one cares about each other that much or is that nice." Maybe it isn't; but maybe we need to escape once in a while back to a time when people did care. Oh well, I'll get off my soapbox and hope that some of you can give me some suggestions. Thanks and God Bless!

Hi,

I enjoy reading like that myself. Here's a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Jan Karon's Mitford Series

Janette Oke's Seasons of the Heart Series. I have three of the four books, but they are not on my bookshelf.

Guideposts' Mysteries of Sparrow Island Series. This series is written by multiple authors. The books are mysteries, but they have the values you're looking for, and the Waltons' had suspense and intrigue in their shows also.

If you'd like more details on any of these, please feel free to PM me.

Have a wonderful evening...

Leanne
