I have been waiting on Nikolai's story since reading about him in No More sweet Surrender (his brother Ivan is the hero). CC has written a beautiful story that develops sensitively and heartwarming. Both the H and h are dealing with their tortured reality of the past, till they meet. Both help each other to face their demons....emerge out of the past to deal with them in the present and so begin to build on a future. Truly brilliantly done.

In the second Story, A devil in Disguise, the hero of this novel is so controlling that he is unlikable. Dru is the personal assistant to Cayo Vila and she is in love with him even though he sees her as just a competent employee. When she tries to leave he basically takes over her life and is threatening and uncooperative. I found him to be entirely too arrogant. Dru's loyalty to Cayo has required great sacrifice and he has been unappreciative. I thought this couple did not come to terms well with their emotions and Dru was way too good for her hero.
