Bound for Glory Author:Woody Guthrie From Kirkus Reviews: "Through the autobiography of a hobo is told the story of millions of Americans, the drifters, most of them less fortunate in finding a way of life than Woody Guthrie, who is known to his listeners for his vagabond songs over the air. He has told his story in hobo lingo, rough diamond vernacular."
Great, personal story of WG's life traveling on the railroad, growing up in the oil boom and the subsequent dust booms of Oklahoma. Last third of the book is about how he got into singing.
