Bound for Murder (Scrapbooking Mysteries, Bk 3)
Bound for Murder - Scrapbooking Mysteries, Bk 3 Author:Laura Childs New Orleans scrap booking shop owner Carmela Bertrand's pre-wedding party is overshadowed when a friend's intended groom is murdered. Asked by the heartbroken bride to look into the case, Carmela must help her friend pick up the pieces while wrapping up a murder that has more than one lethal loose end.
I guess I am going to be the only negative review - but I really did not like this very much. I found the writing choppy, I couldn't get involved with the characters, and it felt like Ms. Childs was trying to take the Tea Shop series and make it a little more hardboiled. There is some version of profanity on almost every page, whereas with tea shop there is next to none. I really felt like I had to plough my way through the book. And the some of the character names seemed weird; Wren, Shamus, and a grown woman called "Baby". I see though that alot of you really like the book, so if you haven't read it I would recommend it to you based on these many positive reviews. Hopefully you will like it much more than I did.
