Luke and Emma's story was a hoot and the best of the three in the series. (Could there be more--maybe Deathrider's?) I was a little worried that Emma would come across as too hard considering her past, but she had a lot of softness and understanding, too. Luke was everything wonderful; the type of hero who doesn't realize his own appeal and charm and who struggles with insecurity and inner longing to fit somewhere. I enjoyed his wrestle with desire for a nun. Too delicious! They made a great team. The dangerous trek to Mexico was adventurous and enough to keep the pace lively but not forced. Enjoyable at 4 stars.
