Hmmm. This book was unlike anything I've read so far, really. It's one of those books you'll want to take with you everywhere simply because it's a comfort for an unkown reason.
This is the first book I've read by this author but I'll certainly be reading more (although at the time of this review, she only has short story collections out). If I had to define this book with a word, it would be. . . poignant, although that's a bit overused in today's book society. Perhaps clairvoyant. The way she writes about the characters made me think of someone I know every time I learned something new about them.
Anywho, definitely not your typical LGBT book, firstly because of the author's crystalline way of word, secondly because the plot evolves around a straight mechanic. I'd repost my book, but it's going onto my rarely used keep shelf. Make sure to save a spot on yours, too.
