Thanks Jill! That's why I don't think its fair that I should just get 1 credit for 3 books. I want to say that I LOVE PaperBackSwap & if this the only downfall, then hey, they are doing pretty good. Nevertheless, I did email their help desk but the answer I got, to me, was just a brush off. They said the ISBN on the outside of the box is usually the same as one of the books in the boxed set, however, That is not a true statement. Vendor's order these box sets all the time using the ISBN numbers on the outside of the box. I think this is something PBS needs to examine. I will keep my box set before I give it to someone for 1 credit. Thanks!! |

Unfortunately Sara, if there is only one ISBN and if it is posted to your shelf that way, asking for more than 1 credit is really against PBS rules and they could cancel your account. Did you check the ISBNs on the books? The only way you can ask for more than a credit is if the books are posted separately on your shelf. I guess you could post them as books without an ISBN to get them all out there separately. Whatever you do with it, don't list it on your shelf as one item and then turn down 1 credit requests because you are holding out for more. ETA: that keeping it off of your shelf and asking for 3 credits for a 3 book set in the Bazaar is perfectly legit (found a clarification on boxed sets in the help today :) so maybe you can get someone who knows its worth to PM you from the Bazaar. thanks for the info. I haven't listed it on my shelf. I am intending to list them separately as the instructions state. I have emailed the libranrian & asked if they can indicate that an audio book is work 2 credits, why can't they indicate that a boxed set is worth the same # of credits it contains? But I have not heard a response back to that specific question. |
