Hardbound, part of series of folk/fairy tales to help teach children values. They are nicely illustrated in color, good quality books, and the stories are told without sounding preachy or talking down to children in any way...they are simply told so they are understandable to small children even, and the messages can be understood without a lecture or moralization telling the reader what to think. A good series to just let the story teach what the child is ready to learn, or just be a good bedtime story.
