This was a barn burner of a first novel! Bard did a great job keeping my interest.
I did get a bit tired of the lengthy description of the rescue and the preparations. I don't really need to know how all the weapons are made. But, that is a minor complaint. I couldn't put this down and I'm soon to be reading the sequel, BRAINRUSH II......!
