Murder, mayhem, and an amazing shootout right before the happy ending made this a page turning read! Sheriff Beck Tanner thought Faith Matthews had an affair with his brother before she left town in disgrace. Now she's back as the Assistant District Attorney with a young daughter. Will he be able to put aside his assumptions long enough to protect her from the killer on her trail? You bet! There's great characterization of toddler sweetness in this one.
