What a wonderful novel about a father trying to protect his daughter. I started reading this book the day after Christmas and could hardly put it down until I finished it. Stephen Goodwin get's inside a parent's mind and heart so beautifully. I highly recommend this book.

A situation that could happen to any parent - love, panic, reaction. Hard to put down. A quick-to-read, compelling story of a father's love; a family in crisis. I really enjoyed it.

I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. It is written in such a down to earth fashion, and with such genuine people that it will be hard to realize that it is actually fiction.

I really liked the book. It was very realistic. It was a situation that you could see playing out and have seen in peoples lives around you. It's a book that is a good read for teens and adults.

Terrible. I tried so hard to get into this book. I read 140 pages, but I just could not make myself finish the book. I can only think of one other book I have not finished in my lifetime.

this book honestly took me such a long time to finish! the narration was very monotonous but the book itself was a touching story about a single father trying to hold it together for his two teenage kids during a whole bumch of drama. interesting and relatable events take place, and the author gives you great insight on what the dad is thinking and feeling. overall a relaxing, peaceful book

I just finished reading this book. The characters are well developed. The story contains a variety of themes which weave the characters through emotional highs and lows. The reading moves slowly at times with excessive narratives.

Overall the the story is strong with family unity, principles, and values indicated as a thread of importance for dealing with life's challenges.

A good read.
