Abandoned as a baby, Abra never felt like she fit in with the people of Haven. In high school, she rebels, runs away with a guy, and ends up being discovered as a promising actress. She eventually wants to give up her Hollywood life and go home, but can she?

I thought the story was good, but long. I did get annoyed at Abra's constant whining about how she wanted to be "someone", didn't fit in, etc. There are several scenes in the book that don't seem appropriate for a supposedly Christian book and are somewhat detailed (such as abortion, abuse, premarital sex, etc.). The overall story and the ending were good, but I would not read the book again.

After reading a Francine Rivers novel, I'm always left uplifted and fulfilled with the message she wonderfully conveys through her work. Bridge to Haven was a great story of God's love, patience, and forgiveness.
