I'm not sure it's accurate to say that I "liked" this book but I am certainly glad I read it. I'm a nonnative white female living in the St Louis area and it was enlightening to read about its history through the lens of capitalism. It covers an impressive amount of time from Lewis and Clark to Michael Brown.
