I am an incest survivor. For over 30 years I kept years of abuse inside me. This poem was written before I began group therapy. For most of my life I thought I was alone. Finding a group of women survivors changed my life. Today I would not have written this:

I am so.... separate

separated.

alone
lonely.

one
island.

Abandoned.

I am so sorry. I hope you can recover soon... I can't imagine... :( But that was a good poem, although it was short, I hit me.

I know the feeling...and I have poems written about...the hunger for death, the aching emptiness, even the longing for revenge. As we travel through life, hopefully we find what it takes to let go and develop separate from our past...allowing it to shope us into something better and stronger; leaving behind the pain that can only damage. Wishing you so much better.
