Thanks to whomever it was who recommended this book.  I started it Friday night and have been enjoying it.  It's such a thick tome though -- I will have to renew it from the library.

I have a copy of this one, and it's sequel, but I haven't read it yet. I don't know why I haven't pulled it out because I have heard so many people say they loved it. I really need to move it to the top of the pile. ;-)

It may have been me, I LOVE that book. I'm green with envy you have the sequel, Valli  - it is really difficult to find.

Enjoy!

What's the name of the sequel?

I'm annoyed that the copy I got from the library is literally falling apart as I read it.  The spine is snapped in multiple places and now pages are falling out.  I tried to request another copy, but couldn't since I already had the title checked out.  Grrrr!

There are actually two more books (it's a trilogy).  The second book is Tatiana and Alexander (also published as The Bridge to Holy Cross or something like that) and the third is The Summer Garden.  I've read the second - it's very good.  I'll be reading the third probably by the end of the year.

I completely forgot this was a trilogy, and I even have a copy of the third book!

Mimi, I didn't have trouble getting the second book at all. In fact, I think I found an available copy of the HC here without even having to wishlist it. The copy I have is kind of short and small though so it might be a book club edition which may explain why it wasn't wishlisted. Would you like to borrow the last two books, Tatiana and Alexander and The Summer Garden? You could take your time reading them because I'm not ready to read them now. Just let me know!
