Such a sexy, fun read. The "verbal foreplay" between Macy and Gabe is absolutely steaming. On top of it, the language is funny and clever. This has become my absolutely favorite Susan Andersen book. All the side characters are wonderful as well. I really hope she expands them in her future books.

Typical of her books, they mystery part is less of an issue. Romance seems to always come first. I definitely don't mind here.

It was a really quick read for me and I didn't want to put it down.

Burning up is smoking hot. The chemistry between Macy and Gabe is hotter then any of the fires that Gabe puts out for a living. Both have past that have put up walls around their hearts and watching those walls tumble down is heart warming. This book is a must read for any romance fan. Susan Andersen writes books that are keepers.

Smoking hot! I loved this one. The back and forth banter between the two main characters is steamy. I really loved this one.

Another great Susan Anderson story. Macy O'James is a flashy gal when she wants to project an air of unconcern. Underneath she is just a small town girl with an unwarrented "bad" reputation. Fire Chief Gabe Donovan has an instant and unwanted attraction to her from the moment he lays eyes on her. She likes to play with "fire" when it comes to Gabe, but tends to keep him at arms length. I loved the tension that these characters produced and the story has several levels which make it interesting. Good read!
