1-WHOLE CHICKEN, 1PKG. HILLSHIRE SAUSAGE(SMOKED), 1-LARGE VIDALIA ONION, 2 CUBES CHICKEN BOUILLON, 4 TBLSP. TEXAS PETE, 3C. RICE, BOIL CHICKEN 45 MINUTES- ONE HOUR,TILL FALLING OFF BONE ALONG WITH SAUSAGE. REMOVE CHICKEN FROM BONE, MEASURE APPROXIMATELY 8 C. OF BROTH, POUR INTO A LARGE POT. ADD RICE,CHICKEN, SLICED SAUSAGE AND SLICED ONION TO BROTH. ADD RICE AND OTHER INGREDIENTS. SIMMER ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO 1 HOUR TILL RICE IS DESIRED CONSISTENCY.

can boiled eggs be added to this, my friend has done that but i don't know how many?

Barbara, One question. Do you add a fresh onion to the second stage of cooking with the 3 cups of rice or do you add the aleady boiled onion? This sounds like a good apres-ski winter dish and I love the name. Elizabeth
