Using his knowledge of Arizona state history, Author, Ray Thompson has written a humorous book combining Arizona fact and fiction in the make-believe town of Cactus Corners, Arizona.

In the book, a young newsman from Minnesota joins the staff of Cactus Corners' Radio Station KRUM and relates his experiences with wacky fellow broadcasters and colorful, oftentimes, eccentric townsfolk. It's a delightful journey through a community where the station owner comes from a family of ostrich ranchers, the town drunk is the most accurate weather forecaster, the slogan "See you later alligator" originated and where there is a surprise ending to the story of Arizona Territory's most notorious female outlaw.
