this book has some of the most brilliant and weird story-telling that i've encountered. The situations these bar denizens run across is varied and astonishing. Some of the jokes may seem obscure -- maybe they are of their time too much -- but the wit is evident in the light character dialog, and true companionship shown by this motley crew. bravo!
