cancel an order after its been mailed? Let me explain so it will make sense. I had ordered 5 books from a member. She sent 3 I had requested, then 2 I had not. I did not receive 2 remaining books I had ordered at all. I would rather return the 2 books to her I did not request and cancel the outstanding order because I'm tired of the headache . I PM'd her with the problems with the order and asked how she wished to handle the situation. I have not heard back from her yet (just sent it). I would rather send back the 2 books I didn't order at all and end the transaction completely and get back my 2 credits for the 2 books she didn't send me. Suggestions? Once a book has been marked mailed, the only ones who can cancel the transaction are R&R. The sender would need to write to them. If you don't get the books (although it sounds like you actually did get books and should mark them as wrong book received) then they will go lost and you'll get your credits back then. |

I went back in and marked as wrong book received on each. Can I get my credits back for these or does the sender have to return them? |

Janet, according to the Help Center, she will have to be the one to return your credits. It seems that it would be best to just get your credits back from her and stop he transactions before it gets anymore confusing. LOL |

LOL Thanks so much for your help! I did stop the remaining transactions and am still waiting on her to reply to my PM. Hopefully, it won't start any "drama". LOL |

Jeesh this sure sounds like a big mess! Janet please let us know what happens?

I sure will. Still waiting on a response to my PM. Trying to be patient (which is hard for me - LOL). |

Janet, if you don't hear anything after one week, report it to R&R. (I don't see it right now, but I think that's what the HC recommends.) ETA: Here it is: If a book you requested with a credit arrives with a problem, you need to PM the sender (instructions below). If the sender does not respond to your PM within a week, let us know. Non-response to PMs that clearly ask for a response acts as a "double black mark" on a sender's account, and non-response from a sender after this pattern is established in his/her account will be taken as admission of fault. We will intervene in those cases.Last Edited on: 10/25/07 11:55 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Ok - actually right after I posted that, I got a very apologetic email from her and she has straightened everything out in a very nice way and I'm satisfied now. She told me to keep the 2 books she sent me by mistake and is going to mail me the 2 I had requested. So its all good now! |
