There are many mysteries surrounding Admiral Canaris and this book answers many of them. However, the book was released in 1973 and it may be somewhat dated in that it leaves some mysteries unexplained. With the release of secret files in the 1980s some mysteries might be explained or re-addressed.

The book is an easy, entertaining read and does not require a vast knowledge of World War II history to follow.
