Well, I can't believe I also read this sequel to "This Outlaw Heart". It took me nearly 5 years to actually pick it up to read. This book is just as graphic with many scenes of abuse and torture. I tried to scan over most of those.
The description for this book is misleading. But to correct would give away some of the story-line. In the Civil War portion of the book, the author includes many of the historically known leaders of that era. I'm not too sure how correct she was about these particular events.
But overall, the book ends satisfactory, so I feel it was worth the time it took me to read most of 511 pages.
