This book made me laugh out loud with how the author combined religion, paganism, sexuality and family into one story, It's magical realism keeps the story going, but doesn't detract from the realness of the characters. It's sexy, sad, funny and engaging. After I posted a mini-review of it on MySpace, the author added me as a friend. When I bought the book, I had no idea that we're from the same California beach town.
