I guess I wasn't the target demo for this book. I read it when I had a patient (I am a speech therapist) who was an early teen and LOVED horror/sci fi - we used it to practice reading comprehension. This kid thought this book was the best thing since sliced bread. So, if you're a grown up, you may want to pass, but if you're a teen or tween, and your parents say its OK, you'll probably totally dig it. Nice twist ending, BTW.

One of my favorite books of all time, I don't know how I managed to exist before picking it up. I love J. Robert King's writing style, the book just drags you into its dark world and does not let you out even after you've turned the last page.
