Debra Barry, a soap opera script writer and Graham Reid, the carpenter, in one of Barbara Delinsky's earlier books, republished in 1999. I am more familiar with her newer works, but found this one enjoyable.

This is one of Barbara Delinsky's earlier novels. A very good read however.

Shaken by a painful divorce, successful TV writer Debra Barry leaves New York for the beautiful countryside of New Hamshire, where she hopes to find peace and solitude. She hires Graham Reid, who is hiding from his own bitter path, to complete the work on her house. A fresh, interesting love story.
