Right from the start the little black kitten was different. He wanted a name but only pets have names. So when the farmers daughter climbs up into the hayloft one day the little kitten knows just what to do to become her pet.
Little does he know that is just the 1st step on a long journey, one that will take him thru the lives of many people until he finds the name and home that truly belong to him.
Good reading for ages 8 -12. Funny and touching.
