Oral instruction; that is to say, teaching by word of mouth, and especially by question and answer. 2. What is the person so teaching called ? The Catechist. 3. What is the instruction itself called ? Catechetical. 4. What are the learners by this method called ? Catechumens. 5. What is required to make catechising complete ? That the catechumens should also ask questions. 6. How may this be put in practice ? ' By the catechumens asking in private an explanation of any difficulties they meet with. 7. Whence is the word Catechism derived ? From a Greek word (xrvxej!') signifying to sound into a person's ears. 8. May any thing be taught by Catechism ? Any art or science may be so taught. 9.
