I enjoyed the first two but this one was better
A bit on the erotic side for those that would rather
not read. I enjoy her writing.

Part of me liked this and yet I didn't. I tend to gravitate to the more edgy subject matter, but I guess for me this did not have enough of something to hold me. Sure, the Marquis de Sade is one of the most extraordinarily twisted individuals ever, but perhaps the book would have benefited from a bit more romance. It was hollow in a way. Not a bad read, but would not be one I would read over either.

Another great book by Mitchell that leaves you thirsting for more. Less of a focus on the Marquis in my opinion, but still very enjoyable.

Book 3 in the Marquis De Sade Vampire series. A bit of a let down, compared to the other books. It introduces an interesting premise in the form of the Cathedral, but never really elaborates on how it came about.

Not quite what I expected. For the Marquis de Sade being the main character, there wasn't much violence.

This is an excellent read! This book is much better than any of the Anne Rice books I have read. I read it in two days because I could not put it down.

From the back:
They live among us, unnoticed. They amuse themselves with our suffering. They survive on our blood. They are vampires. Among the most infamous and powerful of these creatures is the notorious Marquis de Sade, his perverse and unholy desires still unquenched after two centuries.

But his offspring, vampires of his own making, have hungers and desires of their own, and one of the strongest is the need for revenge. From California to Paris, from underworld clubs to ruined cemeteries, an eternally young woman and her half-vampire companion will stop at noghting to find Sade and put an end to the master vampire's reign. But, as they will discover, there is more than one type of vampire...and killing any of them is never easy.
