Has anyone ever noticed that many of us romance readers also love cats and other animals. I just thought we might all talk about our love of these two things here. Just an idea.

I'm not a cat lover, but a dog lover. I think kitties are cute, but we have a bunch of feral ones around here and they've ruined so much of my stuff spraying it and they get my dogs barking. I used to love them before I moved here.

I have 3 dogs, not my choice to have so many. Only one of the dogs is mine, but he's the biggest. Buster is an American Bulldog/Golden Retreiver mix. He's a big baby, but he looks intimidating. DH's dog is Missy- a female Blue Heeler who has a big attitude problem. The kids' dog is Charlotte- a female mixed breed. I have no idea what her mix is, probably some shepherd by the looks of her. She's pretty well behaved though, and she's just a puppy. I'd love to have a Great Dane, but DH won't let me. He says they're way too big, and the dog would be bigger than me. I'm only 5 ft. tall.

Two dogs, pug and Jack Russell, that are insane.  Four cats, also insane.  Hmmmmm, guess we probably are too.

Seriously, we've got one cat, Big Kitty, who refuses to have anything to do with the other animals.  Big chip on her shoulder.  Pinky and Yoda (AKA Bruce and Fabio) are siblings and guard the yard from all comers.  Mew, the newest addition to the family, spends his time attacking the other animals or me.  I'm thinking Funniest Home Videos material for him.

Leloo, the pug, is my baby.  She's a noisy sleeper, but I can't sleep unless I hear her snoring.  Bibi, is my daughters dog.  A more hyper bundle of energy than I've ever seen.  She keeps everyone else busy.

Sweeping/vacuuming everyday is a pain, but with five shedding animals it's kinda necessary.  Wouldn't give them up for anything though.

total cat lover here.  4 of the little beasties.  evil evil things.  One lays in the big box of books i have for trade and I have to wipe them off of cat hair before i send them.  I tend to tell people i am a cat owner and all books come from a CFE (Cat Friendly Envornment).

See pics below of my 4 evil beasties and guess who the trouble maker is and the book box sleeper is.  HINT: ONE is a long haired cat.

interestingly, my cat seems to love books too.  whenever I get a new one, she's sniffing and rubbing on them and she likes to go and sleep where I keep my books.  must be all those other cats she's sniffing.

Five dogs are here with me ... that's one of the downfalls of doing rescue.  I'm with Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio -- we mostly rescue collies.  I'd honestly have more if I had the room.  Love cats too -- just not necessarily a safe haven for them here with all the monsters.

Kittycastle, My bet for the trouble cat would be your orange one. If you had calicos or siamese I would say one of them. So my next bet would be the huge looking orange one.

I love my 2 kitties!  That's my Ginger in my avatar picture (he's also the inspiration for my username).  He's 2.   His older sister is Filomena, she's 16 now.

We just got a new dog last week.  He's also 2 and a part Pomeranian/part Chihuahua (we think).  His name is Damian and he's just about the size of Ginger so they're having fun trying to figure each other out.  He's such a sweet little doggie and seems to be settling in well.

I love cats and dogs. I have 3 dogs and 13 cats. Plus right now I am taking care of 3 feral kittens that I rescued until they have new homes. So, our house is pretty full! But if I had to pick, I'd say I'm more of a cat person since I've always owned one since I was little and I am a fairly new dog owner (just about 10 years).

God bless you Brenda.....13 cats.    My user name is also inspired by my cats my home is just a kittys castle (and too my last name is castle).

You are right about the orange one....that is lil nicky and he is EVIL!!!!!!  doesn't talk either.  not a meow or anything.  he gets too excited and it comes out a wierd purr thing.

we also have "outdoor friends" who we leave food for and the evil beasties go wild when they see one on the porch have a bite to eat..

I love my cats!

I too am a big cat lover.I also use one of my cat's name.Which was Purrkitty. She passed away so I just kept using it as a memorial to her. I just realized I forgot to tell you about my kitties. I have two. Duke is solid black and has the attitude of the arrogent Engishman that I was reading about in my regencies when he moved in with me.He takes over other cats' territory and he thinks he owns the world.Sounded like a Duke to me.For a stray kitty he has turned into the best little cat. My other cat is solid white some kind of turkish van mix.She is also very sweet and a rescue. Her name is Vanora. It is a traditional Celtic name meaning white wave.Yes I was reading books set in Ireland and Scottland an the time. I also have three rats. The two females were my friend's who passed them on to my brother, who left them when he moved. The male I found in a pet store and bought because my brother wanted to mate his rats.He left a few days later. The rats names are Beanie,Dorris, and Templar. Guess which one I named.
