The series is about a Roman doctor serving the legions based in Britannia. He solves mysteries! Great character development, super stories taking the reader all over Britannia and journeys between there and his home in Gaul. This is a terrifically entertaining series! Definitely worth looking for the other books to read them in order.

There are 6 to date, hope there are more on the way!

I thought it was great fun to read--I didn't expect it to be dead serious historical fiction, just a fun romp set in the time of the Roman Empire to pass an evening of two. And it was that.
