I'm not religious, but I still was able to really enjoy and savor this book. I don't think I will read the sequels, however.

The first time I read this book of knights, chivalry, and romance, I really enjoyed it, but was unable to find the rest of the series. That was pre-PBS. This time I was able to find and re-read this first book and then also read the concluding books. I found this book exciting and intriguing. The characters are well-developed and I was able to identify and empathize with them. The story is face-paced and kept me interested.
I read this book years ago, and was eager to reread it. It did not disappoint. The romantic conflict in the story is great but not to be undermined by the Christian content.
