This is a great book for the beginning to intermediate quilter looking for easy but fun projects. The piecing is straight-forward, as is the buttonhole stitch applique. Many of these--including wall hangings, pillows, and a sweatshirt jacket--would make great gifts. If you are an experienced quilter with lots of scraps, the projects provide good designs to use them. Many of the throws can also be made bed-sized if desired. The overall look is updated folk art, with a bit of whimsey.
