The pamphlet includes a selection of work from the different student projects along with a number of other short essays which address the substantive and methodological questions prompted by the particular focus of research. We set out to explore the dimensions of children's lives in the modern city; but, as the pamphlet took shape, it became clear that questions of ethnographic knowledge, techniques and form were emerging as the dominant concerns. The pamphlet is more about anthropology than it is about children.« less
