  CHILD OF MY CHILD
By Kathleen T. Hulin

Laughing eyes, hugs, and kisses.
My heart feels ready to explode.
My love for them overwhelms me.
Child of my child.
Proof that life goes on.

Was I ever so innocent?
Was I loved as much as they are?
So I was told, but now I know.
Child of my child.
Proof that life goes on.

I look in their faces and I see
A part of their Mother,
A part that includes me.
Child of my child.
Proof that life goes on.

A gift God once gave me
To love, nurture then release.
A cycle of love I cherish.
Child of my child.
Proof that life goes on.

I like this - I can't wait to have a child of my child

yes, it's lovely. I have no grandchildren because my children are still young, but I can hardly wait.
