This is a wonderfully cute and funny manga style graphic novel, that is fun for all ages. It is read in the traditional American manner (front to back, left to right).

In the last book Chi got lost from his cat family and was adopted into a household of a young family. Things are still a bit tense as the apartment the family lives in is not supposed to have cats. To add to the tension there is a large black bear-like cat that has been causing trouble around the apartment complex, so the landlady has been extra vigilant about cat-related problems.

The illustration throughout this is so hilarious and adorable that it is just a joy to read. Konami captures the facial expressions of the humans and animals just absolutely spot on. The story is easy to follow and very cute.

We get to watch as Chi meets a new cat, suffers another trip to the vet, helps his human daddy have a sick day, and has many other adventures. Yohey, the young boy of the family, and Chi are closer than ever.

Chi finally starts to realize that he is not a human but maybe the same type of creature as this giant black beast that occasionally stops by. Chi still has some flashbacks to his cat family, but you can tell those memories are getting more and more distant as he settles in with Yohey and his family.

Overall this a fantastic read. These books are adorable, hilarious, and really well drawn. If you are a cat lover I recommend picking this series up. It is a wonderful read for all ages and my whole family enjoys it. My seven year old son is already begging me to pick up the next couple volumes of Chis Sweet Home from the library.
