What a delightful book! Ryan and Lara find love and happiness despite the opposition from Ryan's ex-mother-in-law and Lara's well-meaning father and brothers. Of course it doesn't hurt to have the ghost of Ryan's first wife rooting for Ryan and Lara. I fell in love with Ryan - he is the type of man every woman could only hope to fall in love with.

This was a very good book! Had my attention from the beginning. A little taken back by the wife's "spirit" being unsettled.

This is my first read from this author and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the story. From start to finish it just felt like the author was writing from experience. This story is exactly how I would imagine life for an interracial couple would be. Getting glances and whispers in public, resistance from certain family members, coming to terms with what an interracial relationship would be for themselves. From the beginning Ryan didn't see color, only that Lara was a beautiful and special person. Lara didn't see color either, but the race issue was always at the back of her mind. There is a Thanksgiving scene that was so funny, I was laughing out loud during it. This book really had a mixture of it all, a great storyline, good love scenes, and of course a happy ending. I'd definitely recommend this book.

I thought this book was very good. The storyline was excellent. I know this book is not for everyone with the wife ghost being there. I enjoyed it...
