The Christians Apologetic Handbook Author:Travis V. Eibel Volume One of exposing different American belief systems that claim to be the true Christian church. This volume covers four religions: United Pentecostal, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Seventh-day Adventists and Roman Catholicism. We are going to discuss the nature of GOD's love for mankind and just how we are recipients of his love. ... more »GOD is called love so that should give us a straight to the point fact. Since GOD is love that means GOD actions regarding us are always in a loving manner. Since GOD is love all things he does is out of love. The Bible uses two words to best describe GOD's love for us and those words are grace and mercy. Grace is receiving blessings from GOD that we truly do not deserve. Mercy is not receiving the just punishments that we truly deserve. Both are aspects of a loving GOD. So many leaders of different beliefs focus on just the mercy of GOD. They want you to know that GOD truly does not want us to perish and He truly wants what is best for us. But they fail to hit on the real nature of GODS Grace. They tell you it is there and that we are saved by it, but then proceed to tell you that it is not sufficient because there are all these other things you have to do to truly be saved. Unfortunately for them they really do not seem to have studied the Bible they say they preach and teach from. Fortunately for us though, we have the Bible to affirm our own faith and beliefs and with those we can refute false teachings. As you can read from these passages there is no way to gain salvation in any other form than Jesus alone. If there is anything that a certain denomination or other form of religious organization is telling or teaching you then you must get into the word for yourself and check it out for yourself. Don't take what anyone says as gospel if they cannot back up what is being said with verifiable facts and/or proofs.« less
