501 action packed pages, that will not let you put this book down.
This is a beautiful, well-written book. I am only giving one away because I have two copies! It's definately a read again novel with lots of heart.
A sweet, clean romance perfect for teens.
This is an AWESOME story! First, it's based on a true life event. Secondly, the style and flow are so enjoyable to read. I have read this one many times (not this copy....just the book!) and always enjoy it. Find out about the "old time" missionaries in America. It's a love story...a story of hate...a story of diversity...a story of fables and colorful language....a story of great characters....a story of Queen Esther....bootleggers...beautiful children and details about clothes, food, nature, you won't forget this story and your heart and faith will be lifted up.
I read this book as a teen, a young adult and as an adult. Like all good stories, this one appeals to all ages. A young woman from a upper-class home, sets out to teach children in the Appalachia. She learns about these people, herself and God.
You will not regret the time to read this book, and will wish that there was more! I highly recommend this for any young women, 14 and up.
