This is a very good book but for some odd reason I had a hard time forcing myself to read it. It might be because I have a lot going on right now. Usually when I pick up a book to read I have a hard time putting it down. Miss Thompson usually writes some pretty racy books. I don't think I have rated this book accurately. lrtt

If you've read and enjoyed the other Sons of Chance books I would recommend this one with the caveat that Jack doesn't realize he's in love until page 210 out of 216. I usually really enjoy taciturn heroes, but this went a little too far in that direction for my liking.

yummm...strong, brooding, possessive cowboy. yahoo...gotta love it!

Funny I actually didn't liked this book as much as the previous two not because of Jack's slowness to love but because of Josie's inability to stand up to him.
She pretty much backs down to him every time mostly because he is good in bed. After completely breaking her heart 10 months before in such an immature fashion, I can't see why she would even jump in bed with him again. She's like the friend you want to slap because she whines about her boyfriend treating her like crap but not only does she not leave him but seeks him out for more abuse.
She does redeem herself in the end and Jack has some touching moments with mostly Sarah (stepmom). There are some fun scenes within but it could have been better. Not horrible but not great.
