I thought this was a great book. It shows that even with a past that you think can ruin the rest of your life, with God's help you can move on and forgive yourself so that you can enjoy the life God has planned for you.
Having been fired becuase of her faith, Ellen Jonsen is desperate for work. When she takes a job at a Christian conference center, she can't deny the sparks of attraction that seem to leap between her and her new boss, Richard Williams. But every time Richard appears to draw close to Ellen, he suddenly retreats. She knows some secret from his past is causing Richard pain, but Ellen has no idea how to help him.
Life at home is equally confusing. For two years, Ellen's dad had trusted her to care for her four-year-old adopted sister Missy. Now he seems to be pushing Ellen away from home--and from Missy. Will the little girl be taken from her life forever?
