Ingredients
  • 1 cup - evaporated milk
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 3 - slightly beaten egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup - butter
  • 1 teaspoon - vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cups - flaked coconut
  • 1 cup - chopped pecans
Directions

 

Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg  yolks, butter and vanilla in a saucepan.  Cook and stir over  medium heat until thickened (about 12-15 minutes).  Remove from heat.

Stir in coconut and pecans.  Cool until thick enough  to spread.
