I have wanted to try this series, but just haven't got to it yet.  Fairly clean writing are they?  From your comments on the Tea Shop series on my topic I take it they are.  The knitting series by Maggie Sefton is very good too!

Joy they are much more dark than the Tea SHop series. She has whole chapters where you see things through the killer's eyes... not too pleasant to read, BUT the first 2 were good, couldnt get past chapter 2 on the third and have since given 3&4 away, cause I just couldn't get into them :)

I agree with Sam. The Coffee House series isn't a light cozy read, regardless that many people consider them a cozy. They are darker and more intense than the Tea series. I didn't care for them at all but many people think they're great.

Jst an FYI - I believe Ms. Coyle also writes the Haunted Bookshop series under the name of Alice Kimberly - young widow returns to her Rhode Island hometown, opens a bookshop where she's the only one who can hear the resident ghost of a New York City P. I. who was murdered there in the 1940's.

I've enjoyed this series.  I am not into really dark mysteries, but this series struck a good balance for me.

I haven't been able to get into most cozy series, but I do enjoy this one.  (Funny that I wasn't crazy over her Haunted Bookshop ones either!)  I do have a slightly damaged copy of Murder Most Frothy as part of my deals here (link following).  I know it has a pretty good WL going.
