This was okay in my opinion. There was a lot of foul language, which I didn't feel was necessary. There was suspense all the way through, which is good, but I found the romance aspect lacking. I will go on to read the third book in this series, as I thought the first one (Black Ice) was great.

Typical Anne Stuart novel. The characters are, perhaps, the least evenly matched of her dominant men and not-quite-submissive women. Despite that, I didn't want to put it down until the end.

Lots of action in this one! And lots of steamy sex as well. ;-) A great action romance were the hero doesn't have superpowers...just darn good at his job.

I ended up reading this book before the first book in the series and I am already hooked! Looking forward to getting the rest of them soon!!!
I didn't read this as part of the series, so I can't say if it follows the first book or even what the other after this one is like, but I can say that this was a good read.

This was definitely one of the best Anne Stuart books I've read. The emotion was very deep but the conflict (is he going to do it...is he not going to do it) got a teensy bit tiresome buy overall did not detract too much from the book. I think all of Anne's heros are sexy. I'd probably want to kill them in real life but in my fantasy life, they're perfect.
2nd in Stuart's 'ice' series and another 'cold' hero. He has the job of killing her because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Personally I didn't care for the woman too much so it didn't bother me if he offed her or not! ok, I did care I guess. anways, he had opportunity to kill her when he drugged her yet he lets her wake up and informs her he has to kill her then gives her self defense 'lessons' and pointers and later seduces her to prove he can make her 'feel ' something yet doesn't allow himself to feel...sorta weird..the woman is stupid IMO and the bad guy in this one is just creepy creepy for me but overall a good story and brings bastien back briefly as well as introduces the star of book 3 - ice blue. I like Peter better as he appears briefly in the other stories and can sympathize with him more.

I was thoroughly entertained by this story and will definitely be reading the next book. I just wish it hadn't ended so abruptly. Another chapter would have helped wind up the story. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
