This excellent book takes place in a small town in Georgia in 1906. The main character is a 14 year old boy. The book follows the ups and downs of his family's life after his grandmother passes away and his grandfather chooses to marry a much younger woman. Anyone who delights in Southern fiction will enjoy this classic!
