This turns out to be a circa 1990 bound check list. One can write in the condition of coins they have acquired.
I imagine most collectors keep such lists on their electronic communication devices nowadays but as the coin books of a wide variety that I put on the shelf at the old soldiers' home are taken by an unknown party, I suspect this will also find a reader (which is good).
