I simply do not like the list format whilst browsing for books - is there a way to make it show columns as a default? It's becoming quite annoying to have to click 'columns' every time I view a page.

Thanks, Michelle. I really dislike the list format. :( It takes a lot of the pleasure of browsing out of it for me, I tell you.

Okay, I'm dense.  LOL  I don't browse for book very often cuz my WL is so huge anyway.  But exactly what are you talking about?  What list and what 'clicking columns' part do you mean?

When you go to "Search" then click "Books Posted Today", you will see what I mean. The books are listed in a list format, and you can click a text link on the right that says "View As Columns". I prefer viewing as Columns, but I have to reclick that link all the time, whilst browsing.

Thanks for asking about the columns, because I had no idea what they were either.  :)

Mine stay in column format when I change pages...maybe they fixed this already?

Sheri, no wonder I had no clue what you meant!  LOL  I have NEVER looked at the books posted today.  Don't know what, just guess it never occurred to me.  shrug.

But, since you mentioend it, I went there and looked.  Columns are definitely much better, I agree.  I didn't have to reclick the columns thing though for each page.  Are you having to?

Yes, when I change times. For instance, I decide to look at 2 am - I click on 2 am, click 'columns', browse, then click on 3 am. Then it switches back to list format.

Maybe it's just something that happens with my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.6)?

It would be nice to have the option to set in your settings that you always see columns or list and still be able to change it on the page as you are looking.  R&R, what do you think?  Can that be done?
