The only thing I didnt like about this book was the ending. It walks you up to the end of the cliff and then you step off and then nothing. I wanted to see their reactions and know what happens, but the book just ends. That was frustrating.

But overall I really enjoyed this book and give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Celia, Bree, Sally and April meet as first year students at Smith College and become fast friends. The book covers their college years into their early to mid-20s. Though I am no longer twentysomething and my college experience was nothing likes theirs was at Smith, I found Commencement to be an interesting read. I did notice that there were virtually no redeeming men in the novel-- don't know whether that is a Smith thing or whether the author just doesn't like men.

I really enjoyed this book. At first it seemed like it would be your typical chick-lit, but it was much deeper, following four college friends through college, and the following years.

Too much build up to a predictable ending.
